The Dentists and Therapist

Paul O'Brien - DentistPaul O’Brien BDS MJDF RCS (Eng)
Practice Principal

I graduated from Manchester University in 1998. I pride myself on a calm and assured manner, providing the highest standard of care for my patients. I  keep myself at the cutting edge of modern dental techniques and have undergone extensive training in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Dental Implants. I have successfully completed the MJDF examination from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Whether it be routine preventative family dental care, smile makeovers or tooth replacement with dental implants my aim is to help my patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile. I feel a great sense of achievement in helping very nervous patients become relaxed, calm, regular attenders.

I am married to Eleanor who is also a dentist, have 2 young children and enjoy time spent with my family. To relax I enjoy most sports, play football and keep fit running with my dog Zak.

Heidi Barton - DentistHeidi Barton BSc (Hons) BDS UCLan 2015

I qualified from UCLan School of Dentistry in 2015. I am dedicated to providing my patients with an extremely high standard of care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

I am passionate about keeping at the forefront of dentistry and am currently undertaking the final part of the MJDF postgraduate examination from The Royal College of Surgeons. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, from routine prevention to restorative work, and I strive to deliver a treatment plan which has been tailored to the specific needs and desired outcomes for each of my patients.

Outside of work I enjoy travel, spending time with my friends and family and long distance running, having completed the Chester Marathon last year.

I have always enjoyed a very hands-on approach to my work, which made Dentistry a great career to pursue. Both paediatric dentistry and oral surgery are areas of great interest to me, and are areas in which I hope to specialise further during my career.

Last year I spent two weeks in Cambodia performing restorative treatment and oral surgery. This was incredible and provided me with a working experience of complicated procedures using sub optimal equipment, making life a lot easier when I returned home!

Outside of work I enjoy running and weightlifting (not at the same time), as well as being an avid motorsport enthusiast. I also brew and develop my own craft beers and I’m currently in pursuit of the perfect hop.

Tosin Ogidan - DentistTosin Ogidan - Dentist

Having graduated with a BDS from the University of Birmingham, I have recently started at Neston Dental Care and so far I am thoroughly enjoying it. I strive to provide high quality dental care whilst forming a good relationship with all my patients. Anyone being treated by myself is always involved in the planning of their own treatment so we can come to a joint decision before taking any action. I believe this motivates my patients to become more proactive in maintaining good oral and dental health.

When I am not at work, I enjoy playing the alto saxophone, the piano and the guitar and I am also a fan of keeping fit at the gym.

Being a friendly and approachable person, I am always happy to help and aim to keep a healthy smile on all of my patients' faces.

I started working in Neston Dental Care in 2015 shortly after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. I have since undertaken a number of specialist courses including Periodontology and Tooth Whitening as these are areas which interest me within dentistry.

I act with a holistic approach towards patient treatment and I strongly believe that prevention is a key area in dentistry and something which I promote highly.

Outside of work I enjoy taking holidays abroad, I travelled Thailand for a month earlier this year and previously spent time in Uganda as part of a medical-dental outreach team. I also enjoy keeping active in the gym and have recently taken up tennis in my spare time.
